Join us for Wild Herb Picking in Warhaniyeh on Saturday, March 23rd.
Wild Herb Picking is an activity that dates back to our ancestors. By observing the fauna around them, they gradually unlocked the medicinal potential of the flora that existed in their immediate environment. Eating wild herbs have proven to be much more nutritive than the herbs we find in stores. Moreover, eating herbs during their seasonality contributes to living sustainably. This field trip will allow participants to learn about the different wild edible herbs found in Lebanon, learn how to pick them without harming their reproduction and most importantly will give participants an opportunity to embrace nature and enjoy its beauty. The field trip will be guided by our local host, Suhaila, who has been picking wild edible herbs since her childhood. Departure is from AUB Hostler gate at 8:30 am, return to Beirut in the early afternoon
